The monograph analyses Mikhail Lomonosov's journalistic activities. Lomonosov was the author of the first professional code of journalists, he also edited the only Russian newspaper at that time - Sankt-Peterburgskie Vedomosti. His odes touched upon the most significant issues of Russian home and foreign policy. Thanks to Lomonosov, Moscow State University was given the privilege to have its own print shop, where the first issue of the Moskoskie Vedomosti newspaper was published in 1756. This book is a reprint of the 1961 edition.
