The author of the monograph presents a new interpretation of literature and literary processes - he considers literature to be a field of competitive activity and examines writers' strategies as models of games that they offer a reader to play. Choosing a period between the crisis of realism (1960-s) and that of post-modernism (1990-s) the author shows the process of appropriation and redistribution of values in literature and tries to explain it.
