The monograph deals with theoretical, methodological and contextual aspects of literary multilingualism, which is
a relatively new area of research in our country and in the world. It comes from the knowledge that the traditional monolingual perspective on literature is in the light of new epistemological and methodological findings, as well as against
developments in literary practice, necessary additions and expansions. Discussions by nineteen authors from five different countries deal with literary multilingualism from a fundamental literary system point of view, adapted for research into supra-regional literary interaction spaces, and in doing so open up fresh approaches to small, minority, supra-regional, immigrant or migrant and transcultural literatures. Here, it is shown how, from a cultural-historical point of view and in current social conditions, the spaces of literary interaction pass into each other and spread to neighboring environments.
