The second edition of the memoirs of Olga von Tuntselman (Golubeva) is complemented by her unpublished literary works, previously unpublished fragments of memoirs, rare photographs from the early 20th century, authentic documents from that era, and artistic illustrations. The first volume of this edition tells about the author's early childhood, her family and surroundings, and the worries and joys of peaceful life. The second volume is devoted to the Tuntselman sisters' studies at the Mariinsky Institute for Noble Maidens; the author provides descriptions of the institute's teachers and classmates and describes the life of the local German diaspora. In the third volume, Olga talks about the events of the revolution, the years of devastation and famine, her wandering around the country, and her work in various institutions. A burning desire to serve her Motherland led the former student of the institute to join the First Army of M.V. Frunze during the Civil War. Author: Olga von Tuntselman (Golubeva) is the heiress of an ancient German noble family.
