This publication is the first most comprehensive collection of letters of the Russian writer B.A. Pilnyak. It is prepared on the basis of family collections, Russian and foreign public and private archives. Pilnyak’s letters are addressed to relatives and friends, writers and publishing professionals, government leaders and others. The two-volume edition covers the period from 1906 to 1937 and includes 758 letters, half of which are published for the first time. The publication is supplemented by an extensive illustrative material. The first volume covers the period from 1906 to 1922.
