At sectional sessions, general problems of variability as an integral property of language, variability in different types of discourse and at all levels of the language system (phonetic and graphic variants, variability in grammatical structures, semasiological and onomasiological aspects of lexical variability), territorial and social aspects of the variation of language units were discussed. The reports and the discussions that followed have shown that there are still many interesting scientific problems in the study of such a multifaceted phenomenon as variability in language and speech that await their researchers. The conference demonstrated the diversity of analytical approaches to the study of language variability, allowed to strengthen scientific ties between representatives of various academic institutions and universities, as well as exchange not only scientific, but also pedagogical experience.
