A colorful story about the old days - about the life of the heroine, who, born in northern Mazovia, studied in Warsaw, traveled a lot around Europe in her youth, and after her marriage to Jozef Kloczowski, she settled in the Bogdana family estate. The fate of the Kloczowski family was directly intertwined with the history of Poland, hence the narrative contains echoes of the January Uprising, World War I or the Bolshevik invasion of the court in Bogdany in 1920. The thing written by the great-grandson thanks to the preserved documents, letters and family heirlooms - shows a strong, wise and sensitive woman who "played the piano, taught peasant children, painted and drew, knew French, German and English, wrote poems" and at the same time coped well with difficulties and bravely faced adversities.
