A vivid story about the eventful life of the city in the distant 1960s is a continuation of Dmytro Malakov's book "In Kyiv in the 50s". The decade of the 1960s was extremely important for the establishment of the spirit of freedom and democracy in the social, cultural and artistic realities of the city. The authors, as bearers of historical memory, convey in their story the unique atmosphere of Kyiv's everyday life and do so with a sense of pride and respect for prominent personalities and ordinary residents who created a beautiful modern city with their work. The book is illustrated with unique photos from family collections of Kyivites and archival photographs. The special charm of the publication is added by the drawings of the outstanding Ukrainian graphic artist Georgy Malakov, who talentedly and with subtle humor portrayed various scenes of city life of the 60s.
