Many fundamental works have been devoted to the history of Koenigsberg. However, the city's true face and spirit were revealed to those who simply, neighborly, and without pathos.
Sergey Fyodorov unraveled and interpreted the essence of Koenigsberg creatively. Having begun drawing as a child, the artist throughout his life not only conveys the city's history in his drawings, but also brings it to life. Whatever subject Sergey chooses to depict, there's always at least a glimpse of the living spirit of bygone eras.
The texts for the illustrations were created by Ksenia Semenova, a historian, journalist, and writer. Despite her short life in the Kaliningrad region—just twelve years—Ksenia found her own keys to the mysteries of old Koenigsberg.
