The book compiles articles on the life and activities of the Ukrainian cultural workers of Kharkiv who in 1942-1943 tried to revive the Ukrainian language and culture. They didn't manage to achieve their goals and were forced to emigrate when the Soviet authority was restored in Kharkiv. But they managed to preserve their culture even living abroad, they took active part in activities of cultural and scientific associations. The book sheds light on little known facts from their biographies.
