The Kazansky Cathedral, the symbol and the main adornment of Old Orenburg, destroyed in the early 30's, still excites a big interest of many people. This book, narrating about the tragic destiny of the Cathedral, differs from the previous ones cause it includes the set of colored icons, painted in 1894-1895 by Russian artist V. Makovsky. Bibliographical references and texts of prayers are enclosed. The edition will be useful both for believers and people interested in history of Russian Orthodoxy.
