Meteorites are space wanderers who, after millions of years of wandering in their orbits in the solar system, ended up on Earth. Extraterrestrial guests who found shelter on the territory of Kazakhstan will be discussed in this popular science book. There have been only 23 such cases over the past 183 years. It happened that meteorites fell a few meters from the residents of Kazakhstan, catching them by surprise while fishing, working, or simply on city streets. Since meteorites do not choose the time and place of their fall, they were found in different parts of the country by different people: schoolchildren, geologists, peasants, shepherds and teachers. This book tells about meteorites - the history of discoveries, the people who made them, classification and chemical composition, connections with asteroids and comets, their significance for science, commercial value and features of the search, and interesting facts. For the first time, photographs of all Kazakhstan meteorites are presented.
