Kallistrat Falaleevich Zhakov went down in history as a researcher of ethnography and folklore of the Finno-Ugric peoples of Russia, primarily the Komi people, in literature as a writer who opened the world of the North to the Russian reader, the world of Komi-Zyryan hunters, peasants and sorcerers. But Zhakov is better known as the creator of the philosophical and religious system, which he called "limitism".
