The book presents the beautiful power of multilingualism through the stories of 14 Sephardic Jews in Bulgaria. It sheds light on the role of the Ladino (Judeo-Spanish) language in their life. It all started from the life stories of people who actually spoke Ladino. The research gradually expanded to cover more individuals who inspired the author and gave her knowledge. This created a new, "Sephardic" feeling in her, which arose from her contact with the storytellers and the things they shared with her, the Ladino episodes in their lives, and events from her own life, some of which acquired new meanings.
