The articles included in this collection were published by the author from 1994 to 2019 in different countries and for the first time are collected under one cover in Russian. The collection also includes reviews and interviews of the author, essays on the history of the Jewish family. The material for the long-term research of L. Smilovidsky was mainly archival documents supplemented by information from scientific and popular publications, statistical collections and periodicals.
