Jeremija Stanojevic: Photographs Summary in English.
The book Jeremija Stanojevic - Photos was created in cooperation with the Museum of the City of Belgrade and the Center for Photography. The book reproduces 190 of the 2,286 photographs kept in Jeremija Stanojevic's fund at the Belgrade City Museum, with the intention of illustrating Stanojevic's creativity and pointing out its complex multidisciplinary, aesthetic and cultural-social component. Bearing in mind the potential of these photos as achievements in the field of visual culture, but also their wider social application, in the approach to selecting and conceiving photos, we were guided by highlighting their aesthetic component. The book Jeremija Stanojevic - Photos is at the same time a collection of works for which contributions were made by four authors: Ivan Petrovic, Mihailo Vasiljevic, Ana Eres and Angelina Bankovic. The authors observed Stanojevic and his activity from a new and different perspective, and they found their starting point both in the history of photography and in the multidisciplinary approach provided by studies of visual culture and collecting, as well as museum studies.
