Great modern Holland architect Rem Koolhaas thinks that contemporary architecture bares “dominant gene” of Leonidov. Ivan Leonidov (1902-1959) created great amount of original designs. He had a talent to see the future building as a whole. His projects inspired architects all over the world. Unfortunately almost none of his projects were realized as he was not appreciated in Soviet period and his designs were banned as "bourgeois" and "deleterious".
