In the old part of Taganrog there is an alley that is well known to Taganrog residents. It has a sonorous name - Italian. This is one of the most remarkable alleys of the city. Famous people of Taganrog lived here at different historical times: doctors, lawyers, directors of enterprises and organizations, employees of state institutions and law enforcement agencies. Italian Alley is also interesting in architectural terms. It is built up with residential houses and buildings, some of which are cultural heritage sites (CHS) and are classified as monuments of history, culture and provincial architecture.
