The book combines the analysis of imaginary world of Platonov with the analysis of his language. The fundamental unit of poetic language, which is used by Platonov, according to the author, is phrase. When parsing each of more than 200 odd Platonov's literary turns, the combination of several phrasal stereotypes with differently directed associations is shown, and language implications are ascertained. The conclusions about the key themes of Platonov are offered.
