The book is intended to identify the reasons for misunderstanding in intercultural communication and to suggest linguodidactic solutions to this problem. According to the authors, the major premise for misunderstanding is the national stereotypes resulting from the institutional nature of intercultural communication. In search of solutions, the authors resort to modeling intercultural communicative competences at various levels.
