One of the finest and the most profound publications (winner of several prizes for its high-quality polygraphy and scientific value) appears in print in the form of 4 volumes: "Instrumental and Draft Note Book, "Siberian Chronicle (Remezov Chronicle, History of Siberia. Siberian Chronicle. Concise Kungur Chronicle)", as well as of two books of comments to the above works. The distinguished Siberian scholar-encylopedist, engineer, historian, regional ethnographer and architect, geographer, writer and artist Semyon Remezov created the first two works together with his father and sons. The offered facsimile editions of 154 illustrated artilces reproduce important historical sources narrating about inclusion of Siberia into Russia, a collection of local chronicles and legends, tales devoted to atamans Yermak and Kuchum and pioneer Siberian voivodes. Apart from the articles, the publication offers a manuscript collection of the maps of Siberian lands and towns, drafts, sketches and autobiographical texts all supplied with translations into contemporary Russian as well as scientific comments introduced in the other two books.
