“In the Name of the City” is a project of the Kharkiv Literary Museum, which combines visual art, architecture, literature, cinema, and more. This publication is one of its parts.
In Konstantyn Zorkin’s painting, the front-line city of Kharkiv becomes a ship stranded near enemy shores. His team consists of metaphorical characters who embody different aspects of the city’s identity. Behind each of them stands a specific person, an artist who participated in the creation of the project.
This painting is the experience of living through war together.
