The submarine, commanded by Captain Alexey Matiyasevich, had to make a difficult battle way. It broke through the enemy’s fairways through the minefields. It prowled along the seabed being bombed by the Germans. Many times the “Lembit” was at the death’s door, but courageous and skillful actions of the crew and its commander always managed to save it in most desperate situations.
