The monograph reflects current trends in humanities research, interdisciplinary approach in studying the traditional objects of historical analysis. One of such objects is the city, and when speaking about Russian history of the XXth century, the Soviet city, formation of its image and symbolic of the urban space in term of the Soviet culture and socio-realistic canon, it remains poorly studied.
