This monograph is the first to deal with the analysis of Ukranian-Polish-Crimean-Ottoman diplomatic relations in the middle of the 17th century, based on the Turkish historical documents. A deep interpretation of these sources using native and European literature is given in it. The author illustrates the conditions of Bohdan Khmelnytsky's stay in the capital of the Crimean khanat - Bakhchesarai, his parley with Islam Giray III about Ukrainian-Crimean alliance of 1648, and also the establishment of the relations with the Ottoman empire and with Rech Pospolita when the sultan Mehmed IV came to power.
