This new publication represents the Dictionary of the Hutsul'sk dialect, one of the most ancient dialects on the territory of Ukraine. The study on Hutsul'sk dialects has a long tradition (more than 150 years) but this publication is the only source of printed information on the Hutsul'sk vocabulary. The dictionary under consideration is an abridged version and does not include all the lexical units of the dialects but just the specific vocabulary that is different from the Ukrainian literary language.
