"Armin L. from town V at the river of destiny G" - this is how Armins Lejins (1938–2015) from Valmiera sometimes called himself in letters, which he wrote a lot and gladly, cultivating decoratively designed epistular messages as a special genre. Not one of his correspondents, myself included, keeps these letters as interesting evidence of the time. In the unusual messages, dressed in self-made envelopes, language and thoughts cracked freely, sometimes ironically, with a grin, sometimes even stinging, but, as a rule, not deadly. They were not just film people he corresponded with, friends and acquaintances included writers, photographers, cartoonists, actors, composers, interesting people from everywhere.
