This volume brings a comprehensive set of articles devoted to the scientific, codification, organizing and publishing work of the linguist, publicist, and cultural-political agent Henrich Bartk (1907, 1986). H. Bartek is involved in the founding generation of professional Slovak linguists who entered the active research activity in the thirties of the 20th century and worked in pioneering work in linguistics, opening new spaces for the entire Slovak culture in linguistics. He should especially remember his merits for a deeper and more complex knowledge and stabilization of the standard of Slovak literary literature in the complex inter-war period, as well as for maintaining the unity of the Slovak literary exile with the state in Slovakia in the 1950s. Researchers will appraise an attachment with an inventory of Henrich Bartk's papers in the Slovak archives.
