The book is dedicated to Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna (1864 - 1918), the wife of the Moscow Governor-General, Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich and elder sister of Empress Alexandra Feodorovna. The destiny of Elizabeth Feodorovna, full of riddles, is the basis for this book. After the death of her husband Elizabeth Fedorovna dedicated herself to charity and founded in Moscow Marfo-Mariinsky cloister of sisters of mercy. In spring 1918, she was arrested and brutally murdered by the Bolsheviks. And then she was canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church.
