In Bratislava, at the beginning of the 1920's, the first generation of Slovak artistic bohemians was established. It was created by writers and artists, the so-called "Golden Bohemians." The 1920's and the 1930's were a period of unprecedented cultural and social development without political restrictions. The Golden Bohemians under the leadership of Tido J. Gaspar became legendary at the time of its creation, thanks to the entertaining style that was recognized by the Bratislava bourgeoisie, but also by the Hungarian aristocracy. Through the research of period memories and correspondence, we look into the social microcosm of the artistic bohemians, into their everyday and nightlife in all forms: sorrows, debts, but also joyful companionship, seating in cafes, pubs, inns, bars and studios, elegant dandyism, gavalierstvo, complicated relationship with the bourgeoisie, the world of patrons, admirers, as well as female muses - inspirator.
