While being still a child the author immigrated together with her family to Germany and later to the USA. For more than thirty years she has studied Indian philosophy under the guidance of her teacher Svami Chinmayanandzhu. Dainas (folk quatrain) are the subject of the present publication. The author analyzes them from religious, philosophical and psychological points of view comparing them to Vedas - texts of Indian Holy Scripture.
