Chernihiv, the early 20th century. Bloodless bodies of missing young people are increasingly being found in the city. Volodymyr Shulzhelko, a junior doctor at the psychiatric department of the city hospital, suspects that these murders are related to the legend of the Chernihiv ghoul.
Two hundred years ago, this had already happened, and then the townspeople believed that the "living dead" - the late Cossack colonel Dunin-Borkovskyi - was responsible for these deaths.
