The authors of the three-volume edition conduct a pioneer attempt to study the XXth-century history of the German People of the Kama riverside area on the basis of public, party, official and personal documents, kept in local archives of the social organizations of the Russian Germans "Revival". They shed light on the destinies of those German engineers and workers of the industrialization epoch as well as the German soldiers of the Soviet Labor Army of the Great Patriotic War period, who by force of circumstances found themselves in the Perm land.
