This book is a summary of the research conducted to date. In particular, its purpose is to observe ethnic ideas in medieval Georgia. The period of study is taken from the 11th to 18th centuries. The chronological framework is associated with very important changes in the history of Georgia. In the 11th century, Georgian unity takes on the characteristics of a pre-modern nation, and the 18th century marks the beginning of modernity in Georgia. Obviously, the ideas of this period should have been recorded in historical sources. Hagiographic texts were chosen as research sources, since these types of sources really differ in recording ethnic characteristics, which is very important when observing perceptions.
