The Zonal State Archives in the city of Polotsk prepared and published a Geographic Index to household books (1944–1966).
A geographic index is an archival reference book that contains information about the availability of household books stored in the State Archives in Polotsk. The directory was created in order to improve the system of the scientific and reference apparatus of the state archive and optimize the search for data, including when fulfilling requests of citizens and legal entities. It includes settlements of Drisse, Verkhnedvinsky, Vetrinsky, Lepel, Osveisky, Polotsk, Rossony, Ushachsky regions
