The book examines generation as the principal tool of certain policies and cultural programs in Bulgaria. It tells six stories about generation-based divisions in society. One of them is about the distinction between "young people" and "old people" during the National Revival Period. Another story focuses on the Liberals and the Conservatives. There is also a story about the Socialists and "the young poets" in the Misul Literary Circle. The analysis reveals the complex dynamics of building up modern public life in Bulgaria.
