The first book of the series 'Kazakhs-Generals of the Russian Empire' is prepared on the basis of the archival documents and printed sources published for the first time. The book examines the life and activity of the prominent statesman of the late feudalism, Major-General Baimukhamed Aishuakov. Much attention is paid to his relations with Orenburg province authorities, distinguished Chingisides, prominent representatives of the popular uprisings and important officials of Astrakhan and Saratov provinces. At the same time the author concentrates on some contradictory nuances in the activities of the famous sultan-regent.
