Gaito Gazdanov's literary heritage is taken as an example to reveal and depict some general tendencies of Russian literature development, that date back to the Silver Age and continues up to the present day. The objective of the book is to find common features and common roots between different literary blocs, namely the literature of the Silver Age, social realism literature and social period literature, dissident literature, and Russian literature abroad of the three immigration waves. The reader will also get acquainted with an illustrious, gifted Osset writer, Gaito Gazdanov, whose talent has formed and flourished abroad.
