The proposed edition contains two prose works by the poet Avrom Sutskever (1913–2010) - a book of essays "From the Vilnius Ghetto" and a collection of poems in prose "Green Aquarium. Story". Sutzkever wrote the first work as a witness to the events of World War II and the Holocaust - together with the Jews of the Lithuanian capital, the poet was imprisoned in the Vilnius ghetto. Under these conditions, Sutzkever, along with other artists and writers, for several years in a row saved the cultural heritage of Lithuanian Jewry from complete destruction, and later fought for life and freedom as part of a partisan detachment. The second work contains texts from different years, in which the childhood, growing up and survival in the conditions of the Catastrophe, as well as the poet's future, his life in the newly formed State of Israel and unexpected encounters during travels around the world are rethought in parable form. Both works by Avrom Sutskever are published for the first time in Ukrainian translation from Yiddish.
