The monograph is devoted to the Russian Old-Believers who emigrated to Turkey from Russia in the 18"' c., to China from Altai and the Far East in the 1920-1930s and from there to America in the 1960s.
There elucidated peculiarities of the Russian migration, transmission of the Russian cultural heritage to the Asia and America continents. There considered problems of adaptation of Russians to native condi¬tions, their contribution into preserving and development of the Russian culture in the counties they arrived at. There shown specific features of economy, demographic situation, and national traditions in material culture, family life and family rites. Special attention is paid to characteristic of cultural contacts of the Russians with American inhabitants.
In the monograph there used materials of expedition observations and archive investigations. Unique documents and rare photos are published.
