The monograph examines the history of the formation of the civil law system of the Russian Empire and its legislative foundations in the context of the general process of systemic modernization of Russian society. The author carried out a historical-statistical and systemic-functional analysis of the sources and legal content of the Code of Civil Laws of 1832, which made it possible to establish a high level of correlation between the dynamics of the formation of the civil law system and the dynamics of socio-economic transformations of society at the first (early industrial) stage of Russian modernization.
