Our knowledge of the current processes in Transcaucasia is shallow while the recent past of the new independent states is altogether unknown. Yet it is necessary to understand the nature of the historical foundations that Georgian, Armenian and Azerbaijani historians are building their image of the past upon when they are eagerly serving their political order.
