The book is the result of a thorough study of the history of the Skobelev military camp, founded at the end of the 19th century between Baranovichi and Slonim for the needs of one of the divisions of the Russian Imperial Army. Since mainly local people (Belarusians, Jews, Poles, Tatars and others) served in parts of the division, this story is about these people, the pages of their army life. The peculiarity of the landfill is that it was not closed and continued to be used in different historical periods. The publication is based on a unique collection of photographic and archival materials by famous Belarusian historians and collectors Vladimir Likhodedov, Vladimir Peftiev and Doctor of Church History Priest Gordey Shcheglov. The authors raised a large and little-known layer of the military history of Belarus. The book is richly illustrated with original photographs and postcards of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The book "Polygon. The history of the Skobelev military camp” was published as part of the well-known project “In Search of the Lost”.
