The book "Finding a Poet" is a unique study. The author and her students spent more than 10 years studying the life and work of M. Chuchelov, making inquiries in the archives of Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, restoring the "blank spots" of the young poet's biography against the background of the social and cultural appearance of the era. The publication contains a facsimile reproduction of the collection "Matinik", which makes the works of M. Chuchelov accessible to all lovers of poetry. Mikhail Georgievich Chuchelov (1898 - 1919) is a talented Chelyabinsk poet of the early 20th century. His short life (he died at the age of 20) and creative destiny coincided with the years of the First World War and the Civil War. "The determination, sincerity and insight of the young man who managed not only to comprehend the fate of his homeland and its future, but also to preserve his individuality and purity of thoughts are astounding," the writer K. Shishov notes in the preface to the book. The poet's works were published in the pages of local newspapers "Voice of the Urals", "Power of the People" and others. And the collection of poems "Matinick" (66 poems) became the first poetry publication in Chelyabinsk (1918).
