The monograph analyzes the features of manifestation of channel processes on the rivers of Central and Southern Tajikistan: Zeravshan, Khingov (Obihingou) and Pyanj (upper and lower reaches, including in the conditions of climate change and intensive economic activity on the Niz. The most unstable sections of the rivers under consideration are identified and mapped. An addition to the existing types of channel deformations designed by the employees of the State Hydrometeorological Institute is proposed, as well as an algorithm of actions to take into account channel processes in the engineering arrangement of the listed rivers. To reduce the risk of flooding of river banks, it is recommended to use a mathematical model. The issues of bifurcation on mountain rivers of Tajikistan, including transboundary ones, are considered. The ways and forms of practical application of the obtained results in the construction of channel objects of the national economy are characterized.
