The monograph provides a systemic description of the economic strategy of the "Khrushchev decade". The study focuses on the role of ideological, institutional, structural-production, military-strategic and personal factors in choosing the ways, means and mechanisms for achieving its goals. The adequacy of the measures taken to the urgent tasks is assessed. The conclusion is substantiated that in practice they were mainly reduced to a permanent restructuring of the production management structure, which unbalanced the economy. As a result, instead of the declared acceleration, a fading of its growth rates was noted.
