At her birth, there were identity problems, as she was given the wrong birth number. It could have been her Vietnamese name: Hoa Nguyen Thi. Today, everyone calls her Flower. She was born in Slovakia, has Slovak citizenship, lives here fully, participates in public affairs, thinks in Slovak and sees her future in this country. On paper she is Slovak, but she has to defend this position all her life. Her story is the story of many girls, boys, women and men who have come to Slovakia for various reasons - as economic migrants, war refugees, for family or study. She speaks openly about life in a closed community, about the search for identity between two so very different cultures, about food and customs, about racism and friendship.
