In the monograph by Doctor of Historical Sciences A.I. Tetuev, using Kabardino-Balkaria as an example, the problems of everyday life of the population during the Great Patriotic War are studied, the state of historiography and sources is analyzed, and controversial and little-studied issues are identified. Based on archival and other sources, the experience of state authorities and public associations of the republic in organizing labor activity and material support of citizens is summarized, and the features of everyday life of the people during the fascist occupation regime are studied. The state policy and public initiatives to provide assistance to the population at the front and targeted support for socially vulnerable residents of the rear are covered, the everyday life of pupils, students and young people in the rear is revealed. The organization of medical care and housing and living conditions of residents, information and ideological work on consolidation of society, and the everyday life of the Balkar people in a special settlement are considered.
