Archaeologist and medieval historian, full member of the Latvian Academy of Sciences habil. hist., prof. Andris Caune has dedicated his working life as an archaeologist and historian to the research of Riga - from 1970 to 1994 he headed the Riga Archaeological Research Group. He has published 14 books and about 800 scientific and popular scientific articles. This study, which is the tenth and final series of publications about Riga 100 years ago, tells about the events in the city of Riga in the period from 1900 to 1921.
