The main factors determining petroleum demand in Europe, including the structure of energy balance and petroleum products consumption, petroleum price, economic activities, government regulation in the field of taxes and climate factories, were examined. Added to everything else, the authors propose a normative-extrapolational method for medium- and long-term prediction for petroleum consumption, which takes into account the specific character of regional European markets.
